Connect Microsoft 365 to Revian to sync your Outlook emails, calendar events, and OneDrive files. This integration uses Microsoft Graph to securely access your data and keep your CRM in sync with your daily communications.
Connecting Microsoft 365
To connect your Microsoft 365 account:
- Navigate to Settings and click Integrations
- Find Microsoft 365 and click Connect
- Sign in with your Microsoft account or work email
- Review the requested permissions and click Accept
- Wait for the initial sync to complete
The connection uses OAuth 2.0 through Microsoft Graph, the secure API that powers all Microsoft 365 integrations. Your password is never shared with Revian.
Outlook integration
Revian syncs emails from your Outlook inbox and sent folder. Here is what the integration captures:
- Received emails from contacts in your CRM
- Sent emails to CRM contacts
- Email threads with full conversation context
- Email metadata including timestamps and subject lines
Emails automatically attach to the relevant contact and deal records. The AI assistant can reference these emails when you ask about communication history with a customer.
Microsoft Calendar integration
Calendar integration enables scheduling features and meeting tracking:
- Real-time availability for booking meetings
- Meeting creation with automatic Teams links
- Event syncing to associate meetings with deals
- Reminder integration for upcoming customer meetings
When the AI schedules a meeting, it checks your Outlook calendar for conflicts and creates the event with the correct attendees. Teams meeting links are added automatically if you have Teams enabled.
OneDrive integration
Sync files from OneDrive to your Revian content library. This is ideal for:
- Sales presentations and pitch decks
- Product documentation and spec sheets
- Case studies and customer references
- Proposal and contract templates
Choose specific folders to sync from the integration settings. Revian indexes these files so the AI can find and recommend relevant content during sales conversations (see content library).
Microsoft Graph permissions
Revian requests these permissions through Microsoft Graph:
- Mail.Read and Mail.Send for email sync and sending
- Calendars.ReadWrite for availability and scheduling
- Files.Read for OneDrive content library sync
- User.Read for basic profile information
Enterprise note: If your organization uses Azure AD, your IT administrator may need to grant admin consent for Revian before users can connect.
Troubleshooting
Connection fails during OAuth
Your Microsoft 365 administrator may have restricted third-party app access. Ask your IT team to approve Revian in the Azure AD admin center under Enterprise Applications.
Emails not syncing
Verify the email addresses in your CRM match the addresses in Outlook. Revian matches emails based on the exact email address. Also check that the integration shows as connected in your Settings.
Calendar shows wrong availability
Make sure you are using your primary Outlook calendar. Shared calendars and secondary calendars require additional configuration. Check which calendar is set as default in your Outlook settings.
OneDrive files missing
Confirm you have selected the correct folders for syncing. Very large files may take longer to process. Check the sync status indicator in your integration settings to see progress.
Admin consent required error
This error means your organization requires admin approval for new apps. Contact your IT administrator and ask them to approve Revian in the Azure AD portal.
