Connect your Google Workspace account to Revian to sync emails, calendar events, and files from Google Drive. This integration keeps your CRM data current and gives the AI assistant full context on your customer communications.
Connecting Google Workspace
To connect your Google Workspace account:
- Go to Settings and select Integrations
- Find Google Workspace and click Connect
- Sign in with your Google account when prompted
- Review the permissions and click Allow
- Wait for the initial sync to complete (usually a few minutes)
Once connected, Revian begins syncing your data automatically. You can disconnect at any time from the same settings page.
Gmail integration
The Gmail integration syncs both sent and received emails with your contacts and deals in Revian. Here is what gets synced:
- Incoming emails from contacts in your CRM
- Outgoing emails you send to CRM contacts
- Email threads with full conversation history
- Attachments referenced in email metadata
Emails are matched to contacts based on email addresses. If an email comes from someone not in your CRM, Revian can automatically create a new contact record for them.
Google Calendar integration
Calendar integration gives Revian visibility into your schedule. This powers several features:
- Availability detection for scheduling meetings
- Meeting creation when booking calls through the AI
- Calendar event linking to deals and contacts
- Meeting reminders and follow-up prompts
When you ask the AI to schedule a meeting, it checks your calendar for conflicts and creates the event with proper attendees and meeting links.
Google Drive integration
Connect Google Drive to sync files to your Revian content library. This is useful for:
- Sales decks and presentations
- Case studies and whitepapers
- Proposal templates
- Product documentation
Select which folders to sync from the integration settings. Files are indexed so the AI can find and suggest relevant content during conversations (see content library).
Permissions needed
Revian requests these Google permissions during OAuth:
- Gmail read and send for email sync and sending
- Calendar read and write for availability and scheduling
- Drive read for content library sync
- Contacts read for contact information enrichment
Privacy note: Revian only accesses data related to your CRM contacts. Personal emails and files outside of synced folders are not accessed.
Troubleshooting
Emails not syncing
If emails are not appearing in Revian, check that the sender or recipient email matches a contact in your CRM. Also verify the integration is still connected in Settings. Try disconnecting and reconnecting if the issue persists.
Calendar events not showing
Make sure the calendar you use is selected in your Google Calendar settings. Revian syncs from your primary calendar by default. Secondary calendars need to be enabled manually.
Drive files not appearing
Confirm you have selected the correct folders to sync. Large files may take longer to index. Check the sync status in Settings to see if indexing is still in progress.
OAuth errors
If you see authentication errors, your Google admin may need to approve Revian for your organization. Contact your IT administrator to allowlist the Revian app in Google Admin Console.
