Connect Microsoft Teams to Revian to automatically sync meeting recordings and transcripts. This integration uses Microsoft Graph to access your Teams data, enabling call intelligence features for all your customer meetings.
Requirements
Before connecting Teams, ensure these requirements are met:
- Microsoft 365 Business Basic or higher
- Teams meeting recording enabled by your admin
- Microsoft 365 connected to Revian
Recording policies are controlled at the organization level. If you cannot record meetings, contact your IT administrator to verify your permissions.
Storage location: Teams recordings are stored in OneDrive (for non-channel meetings) or SharePoint (for channel meetings). Your OneDrive integration must be enabled for recordings to sync.
Connecting Microsoft Teams
Teams integration is part of the Microsoft 365 connection. To enable it:
- Go to Settings and select Integrations
- Connect Microsoft 365 if not already connected
- Grant the additional Teams permissions when prompted
- Verify that OneDrive access is enabled for recording sync
Once connected, Revian automatically detects and processes new meeting recordings. Processing typically takes 15 to 45 minutes depending on meeting length.
What gets synced
Revian pulls the following from your Teams meetings:
- Meeting recordings saved to OneDrive or SharePoint
- Live transcripts generated during meetings
- Participant information from the meeting invite
- Meeting metadata including start time and duration
Recordings are matched to CRM contacts using attendee email addresses. The AI analyzes transcripts to generate summaries, track action items, and provide coaching insights.
Historical sync
When you first connect Teams, Revian can import existing recordings from your OneDrive. Historical sync supports recordings from the past 12 months, subject to your organization's retention policies.
The initial sync runs in the background. Large recording libraries may take several hours to fully process. Check the integration status page for progress updates.
Admin configuration
Your Teams administrator controls recording and transcription settings. Here is what they need to enable:
Enable cloud recording
- Open Teams Admin Center
- Go to Meetings then Meeting policies
- Select the policy to modify or create a new one
- Set Cloud recording to On
- Set Recordings automatically expire as needed
Enable transcription
- In the same Meeting policy settings
- Set Transcription to On
- Optionally enable Live captions
Troubleshooting
Recording not appearing in Revian
Teams recordings take time to process and upload. Wait up to one hour after the meeting ends. If the recording still does not appear:
- Check that the recording exists in your OneDrive
- Verify your Microsoft 365 integration is connected
- Confirm OneDrive sync is enabled in integration settings
Admin permissions required error
Your organization may require admin consent for Revian to access Teams data. Ask your IT administrator to approve Revian in Azure AD under Enterprise Applications.
Cannot start recording in Teams
Recording permissions are controlled by your Teams admin. If the record button is missing or disabled, check with your IT team about your meeting policy settings.
Transcript not available
Transcription must be enabled in your Teams meeting policy. Additionally, the meeting host must have transcription permissions. Contact your admin if transcripts are not generating.
Wrong contact matched to recording
Contact matching uses email addresses from the meeting invite. If an attendee joined via link without being invited, they may not match correctly. You can manually associate the recording from the call detail page.
