Dropbox Integration

Connect Dropbox to Revian to sync your sales content to the content library. Keep your sales decks, case studies, and product documentation up to date automatically. The AI can then find and suggest relevant content during customer conversations.

Connecting Dropbox

To connect your Dropbox account:

  1. Go to Settings and select Integrations
  2. Find Dropbox and click Connect
  3. Sign in to your Dropbox account when prompted
  4. Grant Revian permission to access your files
  5. Select which folders to sync (covered below)

Once connected, Revian begins indexing files from your selected folders. The initial sync may take several minutes depending on the number of files.

Content library sync

Files synced from Dropbox appear in your Revian content library. This enables several features:

Revian indexes the content of your files, making them searchable by topic, not just file name. Ask the AI for a "case study about enterprise security" and it will find relevant documents even if the file name does not mention those terms.

Selective folder sync

You do not need to sync your entire Dropbox. Choose specific folders to keep your content library organized and relevant:

  1. Go to Settings then Integrations then Dropbox
  2. Click Manage Folders
  3. Browse your Dropbox folder structure
  4. Check the boxes for folders you want to sync
  5. Click Save to apply your selection

Recommendation: Create a dedicated folder in Dropbox for sales content and sync only that folder. This keeps your content library focused and makes AI suggestions more relevant.

Supported file types

Revian can index and search these file types from Dropbox:

Video and audio files are not indexed but can still be stored and shared through the content library.

Automatic updates

When you update a file in Dropbox, Revian automatically detects the change and re-indexes the content. Here is how it works:

You do not need to manually refresh or re-sync. Changes propagate automatically through the Dropbox API.

Troubleshooting

Files not appearing in content library

Check that the folder containing the files is selected for sync. Go to Settings, then Integrations, then Dropbox to verify your folder selections. Also confirm the file type is supported for indexing.

Sync taking too long

Large files and folders with many files take longer to process. The initial sync can take up to an hour for large content libraries. Check the sync status indicator to see progress.

Changes not updating

Updates typically appear within 5 to 10 minutes. If changes are not reflecting, try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration. This forces a full re-sync.

Connection expired error

Dropbox OAuth tokens can expire if not used for extended periods. Go to Settings, click Disconnect next to Dropbox, then Connect again to re-authorize.

Shared folders not syncing

Revian only syncs folders you own or have been shared with you directly. Team folders may require different permissions. Check that you have access to the folder in Dropbox first.

File size limits

Very large files (over 100MB) may take longer to process or may not be fully indexed. For best results, keep individual files under 50MB. Large video files should be stored elsewhere.
