Setting up your pipeline

Your pipeline defines the stages deals move through from first contact to closed. Revian comes with a default pipeline that you can customize to match your sales process.

Default pipeline stages

Revian starts with these stages:

1 Lead Initial interest
2 Discovery Qualifying the opportunity
3 Demo Product demonstration
4 Proposal Pricing sent
5 Negotiation Terms under discussion
6 Closed Won Deal won
7 Closed Lost Deal lost

Customizing stages

1 Open pipeline settings

Go to Settings > Pipelines and select the pipeline to edit.

2 Add a stage

Click Add Stage, enter a name, and drag it to the correct position.

3 Rename a stage

Click the stage name to edit it. Press Enter to save.

4 Reorder stages

Drag and drop stages to change their order in the pipeline.

5 Delete a stage

Click the ... menu on a stage and select Delete. You'll need to move existing deals first.

Note: You cannot delete the "Closed Won" and "Closed Lost" stages. These are required for reporting.

Creating multiple pipelines

If you have different sales processes (e.g., new business vs. renewals), you can create separate pipelines.

  1. Go to Settings > Pipelines
  2. Click Create Pipeline
  3. Enter a name (e.g., "Enterprise Sales" or "Renewals")
  4. Add and customize stages
  5. Click Save

When creating deals, you'll choose which pipeline they belong to.

Setting up automation

Automate actions when deals move between stages. Common automations include:

Creating an automation

  1. In pipeline settings, click the ... menu on a stage
  2. Select Add Automation
  3. Choose the trigger: "When deal enters this stage"
  4. Select the action (notify, create task, etc.)
  5. Configure the action details
  6. Click Save

AI-powered stage updates

Revian's AI can automatically move deals between stages based on activity:

To enable this:

  1. Go to Settings > AI
  2. Toggle on Auto-update deal stages
  3. Review the suggested mappings and adjust if needed

Tip: You can always override AI stage changes. The AI learns from your corrections over time.
